Pangkarra Foods presents lunch in the company of Liz Carlisle at Pangkarra Foods

Lentil Underground author Liz Carlisle and Pangkarra Foods are a perfectly matched pair to talk about sustainable agriculture and farmgate vertical integration.

Carlisle is a Fellow at the Berkeley Food Institute at the University of California, and closely involved with lentil croppers and farmers as price makers and owners of their destiny.

A sumptuous lunch will be prepared by local Clare Valley food connoisseur, Lou Haines using Pangkarra’s own fabulous produce and other delights from the Clare Valley. All dishes will be matched with local wine from Jim Barry, Claymore Wines, Ruddenklau Wines and beer from Pikes Brewery.

You will also have the opportunity to go on a crop walk and farm tour with Liz and engage in discussion about locally adapted farming, the future of pulse production in Australia and why it’s great that this year is the International Year of the Pulse!

Places are extremely limited, early bookings are recommended to avoid missing out.

Date: 5 May 2016
Time: 12:30pm
