A cracker haul in Sydney for Tucker’s Natural

South Australian brand Tucker’s Natural continued to outperform interstate rivals under fierce competition at the 2016 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show, bringing home a haul of 11 more medals for their multi-award winning cracker ranges.

Quinoa Multifibre Snacks collected a second silver medal in 2 years, reflecting consumer support for the popular health-focused crackers, while signature Gourmet Cracker flavours Rosemary & Rock Salt and Caramelised Onion snapped up another bronze each.

New Blueberry Fruit Bites, added to the brand’s new Fruit Bites range last year, brought home its first bronze medal, while Chia Linseed & Freekeh Multifibre Snacks, Tomato & Basil Multifibre Snacks and Supergrain Wholegrain Bites continued their high performance with bronze medals each. Managing Director Sam Tucker says these medals bring the Sydney Show tally for Tucker’s Natural to 38 medals in total over the past 6 years.

“We like to benchmark ourselves against the best and the Sydney Royal Fine Food Awards are the most competitive awards in Australia. Their judging standards are the highest that you can put your products through” Sam said.

Sam remarks, “they say if you can win a bronze at the Sydney Awards it’s like winning a gold at any other award in Australia”.

“We’re delighted to see Quinoa achieving its second silver medal and the new Fruit Bites range winning their first medal in Sydney,” he said.

“2015 was a massive year for our team, so it’s really rewarding to see that our products compete well against the calibre of the most prestigious national food awards we have in Australia. Sales have been excellent, we continue to focus on the healthy snack market to offer consumers products that taste great and are naturally better for them.’

We’ve built upon some great partnerships with cheese makers at consumer food shows nationally and they’ve been enthusiastic advocates of our products and the way they can partner to their signature cheeses. This is a great result for us because it shows really tasty healthy crackers can compete and outshine less healthy options.”

Tucker’s Natural’s product development work is paying off, with major retailers reporting strong sales.
