Kytons Bakery and Adelaide Fresh team up to add award winning puddings to AnglicareSA Christmas Hampers

Kytons Bakery has helped thousands of South Australian community and school groups raise millions of dollars through lamington drives over the past 75 years but this Christmas they have a new mission.

This Adelaide-based family business is teaming up with Adelaide Fresh and Tony & Marks to help donate hundreds of their award-winning Christmas puddings to Anglicare SA’s Christmas Hamper Appeal.

“We are so proud of winning first prize for our Christmas puddings for the second year in a row at the Royal Adelaide Show, that we thought it would make a valuable gift of something special for the AnglicareSA Hamper Appeal,” says Sharon Sutton, who jointly owns Kytons Bakery with husband, Darren.

“We are calling on all Adelaide families to help make this possible by buying a Gourmet Christmas Pudding before December 13th from Adelaide Fresh, Tony and Marks or direct from Kytons Bakery at Edwardstown, then we’ll count up the sales and match them one-for-one with Christmas puddings for Anglicare SA.”

“Christmas is a time of celebration for so many of us but for some families it is difficult to buy enough food for a regular day, let alone a treat like a pudding for Christmas Day.”

“We hope this will be a way we can help South Australian families spread Christmas cheer through community gift giving,” she says.

AnglicareSA CEO Peter Sandeman said the puddings will be a welcome addition to hampers for people who are less fortunate this Christmas.

“Every year we provide up to 1000 food hampers to individuals and families across Adelaide and we are grateful for Kytons’ kind donation.”

Kytons Christmas pudding is full of Australian grown premium grade dried fruit, soaked in brandy from the Barossa and then baked with just the right balance of Christmas spices to make a moist, decadent Christmas Pudding. It was awarded first prize at the Royal Show this year for the second year in a row.

For every 700g gourmet Christmas Pudding bought from Tony & Marks Newton, Glenunga and Brickworks, Adelaide Fresh Morphett Vale and Prospect or Kytons at Edwardstown from now until December 13, Kytons will donate a pudding to the AnglicareSA Christmas Hamper Appeal to help a South Australian family in need this Christmas.
