Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA) is inviting applications from South Australian food businesses and wineries to participate in a food and wine tasting trail during the PIRSA ‘Welcome to LambEx’ Function.
WHAT IS LAMBEX 2014?
LambEx is a biennial, national sheep industry conference bringing together sheep producers, processors, researchers and service and education providers. The 2014 conference will be the third LambEx and the first time South Australia has hosted the event.
LambEx 2014 comprises a two-day conference program, a significant trade show and gala dinner. It will be held from
9-11 July 2014 at the Adelaide Showground and is expected to attract over 500 delegates from across Australia and overseas.
The conference program covers topics including consumer perceptions of lamb, market opportunities, science and new technologies through to predator control, business profitability, sustainability, management and succession planning.
PIRSA is offering South Australian food businesses and wineries the opportunity to showcase and promote their brand and make product sales to LambEx 2014 delegates at the PIRSA Welcome to LambEx Function. This opportunity is part of the PIRSA Premium Food and Wine Tasting Trail to be located around the centre stage within the main exhibition hall.
Participation in the PIRSA Premium Food and Wine Tasting Trail is open to South Australian food businesses and wineries at no cash cost and will include:
- 1 x skirted trestle table and 1 x chair for the purpose of showcasing products, offering tastings and making product sales
- 1 x 10L cask of water
- 1 x 1 day Adelaide Showground car park pass for 9 July 2014
- 2 x PIRSA Welcome to LambEx exhibitor passes for 9 July 2014
Food producers and wineries must provide their food and wine for tastings. Access to power can be arranged on request. There will be no access to refrigeration on site and gas is not permitted at tasting tables. PIRSA will coordinate a liquor licence to cover any exhibitors providing wine tastings and sales as part of the trail.
