AussieMite is inviting London media to a late breakfast overlooking the sailing-across-the-world yacht The Charm Offensive at St Katharine Docks today to enjoy the latest taste sensation to hit Britain and celebrate our fellow Australian Olympians ahead of the Olympics Closing Ceremony on Sunday.

Australians are great sailors, as has been proven by the recent wins such as Tom Slingsby’s Olympic gold medal, and we are excited to be able to help make Nick’s year-long journey a reality, says AussieMite Managing Director Elise Ramsey.
Photos of The Charm Offensive—which captain skipper Nick Black had built from scratch for world cruising—can be viewed on the AussieMite Facebook page. Nick’s journey will include racing to the Caribbean destination of Rodney Bay, Saint Luicia, at the annual Atlantic Rally for Cruisers – ARC 2012 in November – the biggest transocean sailing event in the world, which takes an average of 2-3 weeks.
Thirty-year-old Nick, who has been racing yachts since the age of 6, has been able to take leave from his job at as a telecommunications engineer at Ausgrid, to complete his first ever trip sailing the world.
The AussieMite St Katharine Docks visit follows the launch of the savoury spread in the UK recently.
Having refined the ingredients and included vitamin B12, AussieMite is now available in Waitrose nationally and Selfridges in the United Kingdom, as well as in Australia through Thomas Dux premium stores nationwide and through select independent retailers.
AussieMite is a premium spread made with the finest ethically sourced ingredients and we are sure that when Brits taste the Aussie version there will be no turning back. This 100% Australian owned spread also contains no artificial additives or preservatives, proudly labels as non-GM, sports the gluten-free certified logo that coeliacs trust and is approved by the Vegetarian Society UK,” Ms Ramsey says. “We’re also happy we can do our bit to help strengthen Australian tourism through this world tour.
I’m so pleased sponsors such as AussieMite have made my dream of sailing the world possible and that I can be in London for the Olympics. AussieMite is a delicious product, much mellower than Vegemite and Marmite in taste; the crew and I absolutely love it!
