Welcome to our first issue of Food SA ENews!
Each month Food SA ENews will be feeding connections amongst the South Australian food industry to help grow your business, profile members and share the very latest industry news and events.
It has been a busy and exciting time as we get Food SA up and running. This week we moved to the Waite Campus with partners SARDI, who we are working closely with on the Food Technologist and Graduate Access Program.
A calendar of events is being developed and already we have coming up our first Networking Night, Think Food, a few tradeshows and lots of plans with partners Advantage SA and Innovate SA.
Our membership structure has been established and we are very pleased to welcome ten new members who have already joined Food SA in the last few months.
As Food SA is membership driven in order to be sustainable, we are encouraging all food businesses to get on board with us to work together and drive the growth of our dynamic food industry. Please read about our membership options and feel free to contact us to talk more about becoming a member.

Do you have a skills GAP?
The successful Graduate Access Program (GAP) is back in 2011! Co-funded by PIRSA the program aims to support the introduction of skilled graduates into food businesses. GAP will assist with targeting graduates and matching them to businesses for an initial six months of employment, with graduates employed in a range of areas including nutrition, engineering, food technology, marketing and business management. The previous GAP was a great success with Marketing and Food Technology graduates from the University of SA and University of Adelaide placed in the program and some employed on-going in the food businesses. GAP is a partnership program between Food SA, SARDI and PIRSA.
