The passion and support of consumers is very important to South Australia’s food and beverage manufacturers and producers, and the Consumer Award, sponsored by Statewide Super, is one of the most hotly contested and popular awards in the South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards.
Entry in the Consumer Award is open to South Australian food and beverage manufacturers and producers. A business can be nominated by a consumer, or by the business owner. Consumers do not have to be residents of South Australia to nominate their favourite South Australian food or beverage business for the Consumer Award.
Initial nomination is via the link below on this page of the South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards website. The 20 businesses receiving the most nominations are then eligible for the award, with the winner being the business receiving the most votes from consumers.
The Top 20 contenders for this Award are decided based on the number of nominations each business receives. Nominations open at 9.00am on Tuesday 7 May 2019 and close at 5.00pm on Friday 28 June 2019.
The Top 20 businesses will be announced on Monday 2 July. Between then and 5.00pm Friday 27 September consumers have the opportunity to vote for their favourite from these 20 nominated businesses, and the business with the highest vote will be announced as the winner of the 2019 Consumer Award at the Gala Dinner on Friday 22 November at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
Please note: Nominations are limited to one per person. Restaurants, cafés, food service and wine businesses are not eligible for the Consumer Award.
