La Casa Del Formaggio is a family-owned and -operated Adelaide based manufacturer of fresh, Italian-style cheeses. We manufacture and wholesale for the retail, food service and industrial markets.

La Casa Del Formaggio was founded by the Cicchiello family in 1988. Having immigrated to Australia from Italy, Gerardo and Rosa longed for the food that they grew up with. They opened a continental deli, and Rosa’s homemade ricotta was a smash hit. They decided to focus solely on cheesemaking and the family still runs the business today. Their son Claude is the Managing Director.

We offer a wide range of fresh Italian-style cheeses including bocconcini (bambini, cherry, traditional, marinated and fresh mozzarella), ricottas, fresh pecorino style cheese, mozzarella, goat’s milk cheese, mascarpone, haloumi and more.

We have achieved excellent distribution and ranging in supermarkets, gourmet shops, delis and continental shops in our home state of South Australia. Currently, our bocconcini is ranged nationally in supermarkets and we have some food service lines available interstate. We are currently looking to expand our retail and food service ranges on the eastern seaboard and in New Zealand.


    Our retail packaging consists of plastic tubs, plastic fashellas and shrink bags. Our food service range features 1kg bocconcini, mascarpone and double cream buckets, 2.5kg and 3kg ricotta wheels, shrink-wrapped larger wheels and bulk plastic bags of mozzarella, grated cheese and ricotta.
