Come On the Road through the Adelaide Hills with Food South Australia
Our popular On the Road Tours are back for 2018!
These tours are designed specifically to provide food and beverage manufacturers with an opportunity to see firsthand how South Australia’s award-winning food and beverage businesses have achieved their success.
Our March tour will take you inside four successful Adelaide Hills businesses:
Winner of the Thomas Foods Primary Producer Award and the Peats Soil and Garden Supplies Sustainability Award.
Ceravolo Orchards is a family business that, over three generations, has been growing, storing and packing apples, pears and stonefruit. Ceravolo’s success with their creative product diversification and the Ashton Valley Fresh brand, their commitment to sustainability, and to working with other local growers is a case study on successful collaboration in our industry.
Winner of the Foodland SA New Product Award
Section28 Artisan Cheeses have one aim – to become known as Australia’s leading producer of alpine-style cheeses. And they are well on the way, with a slew of dairy awards recognising their handcrafted cheeses developed to reflect the terroir of the Adelaide Hills.
Kris Lloyd and Woodside Cheese Wrights
Winner of the Bickford’s Group Leader Award
Kris has shaped how South Australia celebrates food through high profile events such as Cheesefest and Ferment The Festival. Kris has developed cheeses to target both premium and luxury markets to international acclaim. Kris will share her insights and vision for the industry as she takes you through a Woodside Cheese Masterclass.
Winner of the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Education Foundation Business Excellence Award
Beerenberg Farm is truly an iconic South Australia brand but the family behind this 178 year old business knows resting on traditions is not enough. Product innovation, such as their record-breaking success with their Slow Cooker sauce range introduced last year, and finding new and beautiful ways to share the story of their farm and family are among their strategies to build a bright future for the next generation.
