With business costs increasing steadily, environmental sustainability strategy is set to be an increasingly vital component in ongoing business success. Recently, Green Industries SA updated the Guide To Sustainable Business in Food developed in partnership with Food South Australia.
This guide is the place to start to decide what level of environmental sustainability is going to contribute to your profitability and help you reduce the cost of waste. It includes advice on assessing your green credentials on everything from packaging and labelling to energy usage and also includes valuable advice on developing your strategy and relationships with suppliers and your staff.

And don’t forget, the current round of Resource Productivity Assessment applications to the SA Government Trade Waste Initiative program closes on 17 November 2017. There’s still time to apply an assessment for businesses who meet the volume and load thresholds for this program. Successful applicants will receive grant funding to cover up to 50% of assessment costs. This program also offers grants to implement trade waste reduction strategies and these close 30 March 2018.
