New regional website
The members of the Kangaroo Island Food and Wine Association release their new on-line
The website lends itself to both members and consumers of Food and Beverages on and off Kangaroo Island.
Tony Nolan, Chairperson of the KI Food and Wine Association said, “Islanders have a long
tradition of innovation and self-sufficiency and this translates to a fascinating food, wine and
beverage trail. In all corners of the Island you can savour its delights with private catering, eating
in the wild or at restaurants, cafes and cellar doors… even under a fig tree! Discovering Kangaroo
Island’s culinary secrets is an odyssey for lovers of fine food, wine, beer, cider and spirits”.
With extensive capabilities, food and beverage businesses can now be located via online maps,
an events calendar provides information for both members and consumers, a news portal
features highlights and announcements, and the latest seasonal recipes can also be found.
“This becomes the one stop site where customers will be able to find what they are looking for,
be it a food producer, a beverage producer, a caterer, a function location, or somewhere where
to eat out, and gives Kangaroo Island business a central global location.”, said Tony.
www.EatDrinkKI.com.au is an element of the comprehensive ‘EAT KI’ Project. The State Government’s Regional Development Fund through Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA) has provided the funding support.
