SA Water House Learning Centre, Level 1, 250 Victoria Square, Adelaide, SA
The Office of Green Industries SA (GISA) invites you to an information session on the Trade Waste Initiative. This session is a great opportunity for businesses who are eligible for Trade Waste Initiative to learn about the program, and talk to program managers and preferred suppliers for the resource productivity assessment process.
This session provides an opportunity to:
- gain a better understanding of the Trade Waste Initiative
- understand how to apply for grant funding
- hear from, and meet, members of the Preferred Supplier List who can undertake your resource productivity assessment
Following formal presentations, there will be a chance to network and talk with GISA staff and members of the Preferred Supplier List.
Places are limited so please register your attendance to Aubrey Thomas (email@example.com) by COB Thursday 4 August 2016 to secure your booking.
The Trade Waste Initiative
The Trade Waste Initiative may provide grant funding for up to 50% (to a maximum of $10,000 GST exclusive) of the cost of a resource productivity assessment undertaken by one of the consultants included on the Preferred Supplier List.
A resource productivity assessment will identify areas for improving your business’ bottom line, productivity and performance through improvements to trade waste management, as well as materials, energy and water efficiency, and waste avoidance and reduction.
If your business also meets the eligibility criteria for Food and Beverage Implementation Grants (i.e. is an SA Water trade waste food and beverage customer that meets volume and load-based thresholds for trade waste, you can apply for grant funding to cover up to 50% (to a maximum of $300,000 GST exclusive) of the cost of implementing trade waste management solutions. These grants will open later this year.
Eligibility for the Trade Waste Initiative
Businesses eligible to participate in the Trade Waste Initiative are SA Water trade waste customers who fall within 20% of the volume and load based thresholds for trade waste, and/or businesses licensed under South Australia’s Environment Protection Act 1993, Section 6 – Food production and Animal and Plant Product Processing prescribed activity 6(1),6(2),6 (4),6(5),6(6)(b), or 6(11).
