Are you a food processor or food manufacturer that is considering relocating or expanding your business to new premises within the next 1-5 years?
The South Australian Government and Parafield Airport Limited (PAL) are undertaking detailed planning and concept design to establish a state-of-the-art Northern Adelaide Food Park at Parafield Airport’s Cross Keys Precinct. The Food Park will create an area that specifically allows the co-location of food manufacturers, food processors, food packaging specialists, cold-chain suppliers, logistics and transport companies and other related service providers. By co-locating and accessing common services food business can improve their cost competitiveness, drive efficiencies and generate significant collaborative growth opportunities.
If you are looking to relocate or expand and haven’t already registered an interest in the Northern Adelaide Food Park, you are encouraged to do so. All businesses that register an interest will be contacted by Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA) to discuss the project in more detail and any specific business requirements.
Drivers and barriers for businesses to relocate or expand
To inform detailed planning and concept design, PIRSA has engaged Advanced Focus to undertake a demand study. This includes a 30 minute online questionnaire aimed at potential tenants of the Food Park. The study will inform businesses about their readiness to relocate and expand, and will assist detailed planning to ensure infrastructure capacity and services within the Food Park meet business needs. By registering an interest, you may be invited to participate in the online questionnaire.
Survey and interview outcomes
Following the online questionnaire, there may be opportunity to discuss your business plan in detail with Advanced Focus and/ or PIRSA. All survey results and information gathered throughout the demand study will be managed strictly as commercial-in-confidence and will only be used for planning purposes in designing the Northern Adelaide Food Park.
