Handmade cheese from our farm. This Jersey dairy farm located in Mount Jagged, near Mount Compass, on the Fleurieu Peninsula (17 km from Victor Harbor) is where the McCaul family produces award-wining hard style cheeses and luxury dairy products, using high quality, rich creamy milk.
The range uses traditional methods supported with the combined knowledge of four generations of dairy farmers and cheese-makers.

What’s great about the SA food industry?
We love the whole package that South Australia can offer the rest of the nation – produce, food products, wine and beer, hospitality and tourism. We appreciate working with passionate people who deliver the real taste of South Australia to food lovers of all ages.
A few things you may not know about us …
- Alexandrina Cheese Company are open daily to the general public – Monday to Friday 12noon – 5pm and Weekends & public holidays 10am – 4:30pm.
- We attend the Willunga Farmers Market – fortnightly, and the Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers Market – weekly.
- We have continued our award-winning ways, most recently scooping the pool at the Oceanic Jersey Cheese Awards 2011 held in Hamilton, New Zealand. Our company scored two Gold Medals, two Silver and a Bronze medal, and our Alexandrina Vintage Cheddar was named Supreme Winner over all classes in the Oceanic/Asia region.
- We are avid supporters of sixth annual CheeseFest12, scheduled in October and run by industry group Cheese SA.

How do you maintain your passion for producing food products?
There is nothing so rewarding as providing food and fibre for your fellow man. We recharge every time one of our customers return to the farm to tell us how much they have enjoyed our products. It is so gratifying to hear that our cheeses and luxury dairy products have made a difference to their family and in some small way may have improved their quality of life.
